Ok, ok, I know this outfit is on the crazier side – sequin embellishments, red latex, distressed denim, side cut-outs, zebra stripes, zipper heels, faux-croc, tassel… Some may say that I am going a bit overboard here and that it’s an overkill, but in all honesty, this is the real me. In fact. if I had the time, I would go all out EVERYDAY. But that’s just me. I’m not saying that my OTT style is something to aspire to. Every girl has her own unique inner style! I just wanted to give you gals a taste of the crazier me.

I am an incurable enthusiaste for mixing and matching patterns, textures, and colors. And no, there is no simple formula to know what will go well together. Sometimes, you just have to try on things and see what works. Every night before I go to bed, I am thinking about new outfit concoctions – actually thought of this one last night. Typically, good outfit ideas come to me when I’m in bed, whereupon I quickly reach for my phone and type them into my notes so I don’t forget. Such a bad bedtime habit I know… Don’t try this at home kids.

The proportions worked out well here in my humble opinion! Short skirts + high ankle boots will elongate your body. That’s a good combo to remember.

Don’t be afraid to go crazy!! Always look for ways to amp up your look whether it’s subtle, like adding a gold brooch to an entirely black outfit, or going a step (or two)  further than usual and landing in a slightly more outlandish, unexpected territory, like what happened here.
