Happy happy New Year!! I hope you guys had a restful holiday. I spent mine devouring pizza and watching lots of movies from the 80s and 90s. My favorite, hands down, was Misery, a film based on a Stephen King’s novel that you all need to watch ASAP. It is an action-packed psychological thriller that is SO disturbing and stressful to watch but one that will also leave you with a very satisfying (!) resolution to make your cinematic anxiety worthwhile. 😉  Kathy Bates’s portrayal of Annie Wilkes kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I basically watched the entire movie with one hand over my eyes… She looks so nice and harmless, sporting a dorky hairstyle and an equally old-fashioned wardrobe consisting of long denim skirts and conservative Gap (?) turtlenecks and YET…!!!

Clothing can be so deceptive ~~

More importantly! I wanted to use this post to thank you all for your continued support throughout 2016. Cachet de Chloé would not have been able to thrive without you. I have many projects in the works for 2017, and I hope you will all stay tuned.

Now, onto ze outfit. First one of 2017! I have been dying to wear this lemon print, off-the-shoulder number for months – I got it at the very end of August when the weather was just starting to get cooler. Not the smartest of purchases, I know, but it came in handy for the sunny weather in Florida this Christmas. Because I knew my outfit would have hints of blue from my shoes and bag, I decided to opt for a white skirt and keep the color palette simple and easy on the eye. How about these tinsel shoes to infuse a hint of holiday spirit? 😉 These shoes scream my name.
