Tip #12: Taste the Rainbow

Ok, I love rainbows. And unicorns. I won’t go so far as wear a Brandy Melville shirt that says “Unicorns are real” but I will indulge in rainbow filters on Instagram and wear a shirt with a small rainbow patch like this one here… I picked up this sumptuously vibrant green crop top at ALAND in Hong Kong.  This is one of my most favourite retailers in Asia. Trendy fashion pieces at great prices! Using the top as a base, I then paired it with a neutral yet bold metallic jersey skirt and finished off the look with a pair of simple, white trainers and a neon pink pouch with embroidered floral motif. A balance of colours and textures is achieved here.

Over these past few months, I have been pining for shoe charms. In case you don’t know, you basically loop these charms into any pair of lace shoes for a pop of character, personality…I saw some on Instagram, but the brand wasn’t tagged to my dismay. I then saw some gorgeous ones at Yazbukey, but I couldn’t justify paying $70 for a small piece of plastic, let alone $140 for two (one for each shoe!). Plus shipping from Europe – yikes! Solution: An affordably chic, minimalistic brand called Miscere. They kindly sent me a few different charms to play around with – The ones I’m wearing here are metal clip adornments. Others I love from their line: tassels, daisies, bows, and silver tongues! So if you are getting a bit bored of your tennis sneakers this summer, I’d say throw on some charms to infuse newness and jazz.

Happy hunting!
