Reminiscing over the relaxing times in New York, I type this post thirty minutes before my first class: BC Calc. Not so bad…YET…Back to the crazy days ( *sigh*) – tests, ACT prep, and due dates… The whole mix. This is not to say that I am not excited for the new school year; I just miss the slow pace of summer.
Let’s indulge in summer nostalgia for a bit longer here. What better than to revel in this photo shoot with ice cream at its center? I took these photos at the “voted 2nd best ice cream creamery” in the country: Bellvale in upstate New York. If you are ever near Greenwood Lake/Warwick, you have to stop by! Ice cream is great but the breathtaking scenery from up the hill overlooking the countryside landscape is so serene and relaxing.
I got a flavour called Calf Trax (lots of farm/countryside kind of flavour names) – its base is a creamy vanilla with peanut butter swirl topped with mini peanut butter cups. It was such a hot day, and the ice cream did not stay very long in the cone. You can see how it becomes nothing by the end of the photo shoot 🙂
In terms of the outfit (finally!), I played around with another denim on denim ensemble. The denim pieces are different shades of blue, which I thought paired well together. To give the outfit some more funk, I added a graphic top that solved the problem. Graphic tops are the best (not to mention so easy!) for jazzing up any look.
